Background: Zero no Tsukaima first appeared as a light graphic novel written by Noboru Yamaguchi with art by Eiji Usatsuka. It was made into an anime in 2006 as well as launching a manga adaptation in the same year. The seond season begain airing in 2007 and was directed by Yuu Kou.

Anime Summary / Synopsis:

Season two of Zero no Tsukaima continues where the last season left off. Saito and Louise are getting along better with their relationship since he gave up his only chance to return to his world to be with her. Louise demands that Saito only look at her and not other girls, but it proves difficult for Saito’s perverted mind. Now that Louise is practicing her Void magic, her punishments have become much more explosive.

A new enemy has appeared and stirred up a rebellion in the kingdom of Albion, and aims to conquer Tristain. Henrietta, now queen of Tristain, has mobilized the country for war. She requests Louise and Saito to be her special agents and to lend their power in emergencies. They agree and are given the code name ‘Zero.’ Prominent new characters in season two include Agnes, the captain of Tristain’s firearms division; Julio, a dragon knight sent to aid Henrietta by the Holy Empire of Romania; Eleanor and Cattleya, Louise’s older sisters who arrive at the academy to aid in the mages’ training for the war effort.
