STORY: Detroit Metal City (DMC) is a hilarious and often over-the-top comedy about a indie band of the same name that is quickly rising in the punk rock music scene. They garner fame by performing wild live shows and writing songs filled with hate, violence, and rape. The funniest part is that the lead guitarist, Krauser II, has a demonic personality on stage but is a Swedish pop lover named Soichi Negishi off stage.  These two sides of his personality often clash, but Negishi tries to hide his secret as best he can from his friends and family.

STORY: Itazura na Kiss is a romantic comedy manga by Kaoru Tada. Itazura na Kiss began to be serialized and published in 1991 by Shueisha through Margaret Magazine. A high school girl named Kotoko finally tells a fellow senior named Naoki that she has loved him from afar since she saw him on their first day of high school. However, Naoki, a haughty “super-ikemen” (handsome male) with smarts and sports talent, rejects her offhand. Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake ruins Kotoko’s family house. While the house gets rebuilt, Kotoko and her dad stay at the home of her dad’s childhood friend…whose son is Naoki.

STORY: The year is 1939 - it was then that the Neuroi appeared. STORY: Yakitate!! Japan (”Freshly Baked!! Ja-pan) is a manga by Takashi Hashiguchi and is serialised in Shogakukan’s Shounen Sunday. The story focuses on Kazuma Azuma, a boy on his quest to create “Ja-pan”, a national bread for Japan itself. He initially heads to Tokyo to expand his bread-making horizons at the bread-making chain Pantasia; the story continues with Azuma’s exploits with his other coworkers. Azuma possesses the legendary Solar Hands that are warmer than normal human hand temperature, and allow the dough to ferment faster. This gives him some advantage at the beginning of the series, but his innovation and many Ja-pans are his greater talents.
