STORY: The year is 1939 - it was then that the Neuroi appeared. Nobody knows where they came from or what their ultimate agenda is, but the fact remains that their attacks drove people out of their towns and cities. STORY: Yakitate!! Japan (”Freshly Baked!! Ja-pan) is a manga by Takashi Hashiguchi and is serialised in Shogakukan’s Shounen Sunday. The story focuses on Kazuma Azuma, a boy on his quest to create “Ja-pan”, a national bread for Japan itself. He initially heads to Tokyo to expand his bread-making horizons at the bread-making chain Pantasia; the story continues with Azuma’s exploits with his other coworkers. Azuma possesses the legendary Solar Hands that are warmer than normal human hand temperature, and allow the dough to ferment faster. This gives him some advantage at the beginning of the series, but his innovation and many Ja-pans are his greater talents.

STORY: Antique Bakery is a manga by Fumi Yoshinaga depicting the lives of four men who work in a small bakery. Chikage is Tachibana’s childood friend and was send by Tachibana’s family to watch over his childhood friend. Ono is the “demonically charming” gay master pastry chef. And then there’s Kanda, a former boxer and Ono’s apprentice.

STORY: The story is set in Germany and centers around the outbreak of biomechanical creatures named “Demoniacs”, who rise from corpses and attack people mindlessly. The Demoniacs have the ability to merge with most technology including cars and motorcycles. Against them is a group of people known as XAT, who police these Demoniacs in an attempt to keep the peace and discover the reasons for the “Demoniac” change. However, all the while, one will rise above all other Demoniacs to become the “Blassreiter”.

STORY: Allison and Lillia is adapted from the light novel series Allison and Lillia and Treize by Keiichi Sigsawa. The story takes place in a world with one continent split down the middle by the Lutoni River and Central Mountains. The two countries, the Confederation of Roxche and the United Kingdom of Bezel Iltoa have been at war for over a century and now settled on a cease fire. Allison is a pilot in the Roxche air force and one day reunites with Will, her companion from the House of Future, where they were orphans. Together they find themselves embroiled in an adventure in enemy territory to find a fabled treasure that will hopefully end the war and bring peace to both countries.
