Buzzer Beater (2007) is a remake of the original 1997 anime based on Takehiko Inoue’s original manga.  The stroy takes place in ther future.  Hideyoshi, who once made a living hustling others for money with his basketball skills, now is recrutied into a professional team.  He and his teammates are to compete in the Space League, where physically superior aliens have all but pushed human players out of the pro basketball circuit.
