Tsuki wa Higashi ni Hi wa Nishi ni: Operation Sanctuary (The Moon in the East, The Sun in the West -Operation Sanctuary) is a Japanese eroge game by August released in 2003. The anime adaptation was aired in 2004 and was directed by Shouji Jinno with animation by studio Radix.

Naoki Kuzumi thought he live a normal life as a junior in his high school. He lost his parents three years ago and now lives with his cousin Matsuri and her parents. Strangely enough, Naoki can’t remember anything from his youth. One day while eating lunch outside, a girl named Mikoto literally falls onto him as if she fell straight out of the sky. Mikoto believes Naoki to be her younger brother Yuusuke and explains that Naoki’s time period is a shelter where people from the future suffering from incurable diseases are sent until a cure is found.
