| Anime Summary / Synopsis: Wings of Rean centers around Aesop Suzuki , a half-Japanese, half-American teen whose father is an officer in the American Navy. One day while Aesop is chasing two of his friends on his motorbike, he sees a fantastic looking battleships rising out of the water. They are battling each other and on one is a girl named Aesop Suzuki with two glowing wings extending from her feet. She asks Aesop for his help and he activates the Wings of Rean while holding her, but just then US jetfighters arrive to attack the battleships. One of them is destroyed causing a dimensional funnel to appear, sucking the ships along with the jetfighters into another world. This was truly a confusing anime to me, particularly in the first episode. It is based on Yoshiyuki Tomino’s light novels, so having read some of them would probably help in understanding this show. However, for the casual anime watcher, I wouldn’t recommend Wings of Rean unless you have to watch every single mecha genre anime. Wings of Rean anime screenshots:
