Tokimeki Memorial first appeared as a PC game released in
Japan. It was very popular and several sequels and tie-ins were made
for many console platforms, most recently for the PlayStation 2. The
game is a dating - sim, but has no adult material. It features
excellent voice acting and several soundtracks and albums were
published. A Tokimeki Memorial OVA was released in 1999. In 2006, the

Aoba Riku just transferred to a new school due
to his
father's new job. His first day started off normally enough. He made
some new friends really quickly and saw that the school had a lot of
cute girls. The principle and his flashy secretary explained to him
that the school's motto is 'freedom'.
Riku didn't think too much about it and just went on his
way.
Things got stranger when he went to his homeroom. All the students were
wearing some type of animal ears head gear. One of his new friends
explained to him that the animal ears are given out to students when
they make a good achievement. The greater the achievement, the rarer
the head gear is.
The class rep, Sayuri Amamiya, was the most beautiful girl
Riku
has seen, but she also happened to be the most popular girl in school.
Riku wanted to know her better but nobody has ever gotten her email
address before. Unfortunately, Riku caught the interest of the student
council president and became the target in one of his big event games
in order to get Sayuri's email address.
The president gave Riku a set of rare cat ears to wear and sent him on
his way. Then he declared that whoever catches the new transfer student
with the cat ears gets Sayuri's email address as the prize. Pretty
soon, all the boys in the school were madly chasing Riku. What's a guy
to do when he has to run for his life on the first day of school?
