Sumomomo Momomo anime synopsis / summary Momoko Kuzuryuu, the daughter of a martial artist, has trained all her life in the mountains to master her family's special Hairaryuu techniques. Her father, Kuzuryuu Sendayuu, believes their family's bloodline will become weak since his only daughter hasn't mastered the ultimate techniques yet (even though she's only a teenager). Therefore, he sends Momoko to find Koushi Inuzuka, the son of a rival martial artist and friend, in order to marry him and bare a strong child. Momoko doesn't really understand the process of making a baby, having been secluded in the mountains most of her life. Nonetheless, she's happy to finally be able to see Inuzuka, whom she remembers as brave and strong. Her fondest memory is of Koushi standing up against some boys who were bullying her in their childhood. In reality, Koushi had quit martial arts long ago. Koushi's new goal in life is to become a prosecutor. He has become quite a coward, but acts strong in order to avoid fights. Ironically, what made Koushi a coward was the same event in which Momoko remembers Koushi saving her. The bullies did leave Momoko alone back then, but they turned their attention to Koushi instead and beat him up. Thanks to that event, Koushi has been too scarred emotionally to fight anyone again. But Momoko believes Koushi has some hidden power and thinks he avoids fights because he doesn't want to hurt people. She is persistent about having Koushi's child and makes every opportunity to seduce him. Even though Koushi's father consents, Koushi has no intention of marrying Momoko. But escaping her is impossible, and Momoko always seems to keep a heart-patterned bedroll nearby just in case Koushi changes his mind. Yet, evading Momoko's advances may be the least of his worries as Koushi soons learns that rival martial arts groups have sent assassins to kill him only because he is the heir to the Inuzuka style of martial arts.
