Furikabutte anime synopsis / summary Ren Mihashi was the ace pitcher on his middle school’s baseball team. But Ren’s grandfather owned the school and many, including Ren himself believed he got the position because of his grandfather’s influence. From the start, Ren had a timid and self-deprecating personality, and having his teammates despise him because of favoritism did not help at all. Because no one dared to replace Ren as the pitcher even though his throws were slow, Ren continued on and his team was almost always losing. Now Ren has entered high school, but even though he still loved baseball, he refuses to join the high school team because of what happened with his last team. However, when he goes to watch the baseball practice, he is forcibly dragged in as a potential player because they lacked enough players. When Ren throws some practice pitches, the catcher Takaya Abe immediately spots talent in Ren’s throws despite their slow speed. With help and encouragement from his friends and teammates, Ren will not only learn to succeed in baseball but also gain confidence in himself. |
