Magikano anime synopsis / summary

  Magikano is a harem and comedy anime involving witches and magics. The male protagonist is normal junior high student named Haruo Yoshikawa. He thinks he lives a fairly normal life with his three sisters, and has never realized that they were witches. The sisters maintain Haruo’s ignorance by hitting him with magical (and painful) hammers whenever he accidentally sees them use magic.

  Haruo’s life went on like this until one day he sees a beautiful young girl starring at him as he stood at a crosswalk. The girl disappears after a strong gust of wind passes by. Haruo is pleasantly surprised the next day at school when the same girl appears as a new student in his classes. Her name is Ayumi Mamiya and she becomes a popular idol at school. Haruo’s is glad her seat is right behind his own desk, but can’t help but feel an intense hatred emanating from her towards himself.

  His suspicions are confirmed when he arrives home that evening. Ayumi appears in a maid outfit and literally forces Haruo to allow her to stay at his house as a live-in maid. Ayumi turns out to be a witch who came from the Magic Realm in search of a cure for her curse. She has been foretold that Haruo holds the secret for ridding her curse, but Ayumi becomes angry when she realizes that although Haruo has latent magic powers, he is completely unaware of them thanks to his sisters. To cure her curse, Ayumi plans to awaken Haruo’s magic abilities by “making him a man.” But Haruo’s sisters aren’t about to hand over their brother to another witch and there is a good reason why Haruo’s powers are kept sealed.
