Love Get Chu anime synopsis / summary

Momoko Ichihara is an aspiring seiyuu (voice actress) whose goal is to one day work alongside Minato Ichinose, a voice actor in her favorite childhood anime. She moves to the big city to train at a professional seiyuu training school called Lambda Eight. She befriends fellow seiyuus-in-training, they include: Amane Ohara, once a popular idol but has since then turned to voice acting due to lack of work; Rinka Suzuki, a timid seiyuu who lacks confidence; Tsubasa Onodera, a tomboyish girl who is talented at performing male voices in shounen anime; Yurika Sasaki, an enthusiastic girl who seems naturally talented to be a seiyuu.

On her way to the big city to audition at Lambda Eight, Momoko mistakes a young man for a pervert on the train. Later, it turns out he is a resident at the same boarding house she will stay in. His name is Atari Maeda and he is animator whose studio had worked on Momoko’s favorite anime.

On the first day of auditions, Momoko gets lost while trying to find the sound room where the judges are. Thankfully, Momoko has a really powerful voice and is able to get the attention of the head judge by yelling from the rooftop, thus proving her talent. But this is only the first test. As Momoko and her friends will learn in the days to come, becoming a seiyuu requires hard training and commitment, and only a handful of the candidates will ever become professionals.
