Shintaro Kurenai is a 16 year old student who lost his parents in a bombing when he was very young.  Influenced by the woman who rescued him, Shintaro trained hard to become strong and be of help to those in need.  Although he attends school like any other teenager, Shintaro takes on jobs as a “dispute mediator” to both prove his skills and to earn money to support himself.  One day, he is offered the job of becoming the bodyguard of a young girl named Murasaki Kuhouin, yet is not told of who is targeting her.  Murasaki comes from a powerful family who prevent their women from venturing into the outside society.  This is young Murasaki’s first time in the open world, and although she is intelligent, she is also naïve and selfish.  Although it will be hard for Shinaro to take care of Murasaki, he promises to protect her because he sees something of his young self in her.

This is a very good anime to take up.  Not only is the animation quality top notch, this is one of the few animes where I find the dialogue so well written and delivered.  Murasaki is especially fun to watch and her sharp tongue and haughty personality will definitely make you smile.  Shintaro is also a very interesting character.  He has studied martial arts and is definitely stronger than a normal human, but he refuses to harm unless its absolutely necessary.  Good character design and a intriguing story makes this anime a good pick.
