Anime Summary / Synopsis: Kanokon at first appears to a classic harem-ish high school romance comedy, but you’ll quickly realize that it’s not just another generic love comedy. The main protagonist is a short and meekly looking high school boy named Kouta Oyamada. For some reason, the beautiful and big-breasted Chizuru Minamoto is in love with him and dotes over him constantly. Chizuru invites Kouta to a music room one day after school where she reveals to him that she actually a fox diety. She demonstrates by possessing Kouta and showing off their combined power - something that is related to how much they love each other. However, Kouta must keep Chizuru’s identity a secret because if it is a rule that Chizuru would have to separate from Kouta if her identity is found out by the rest of the school. As expected, the real drawing point for Kanokon is the cute and cheerful Chizuru. Her seiyuu is the talented Atsushi Ootsuki who’s had roles as Mahoro of Mahoromatic and Fuu from Samurai Champloo. The animation is above average and the comedy/writing is crisp. Overall a good pick for the comedy romance category. anime screenshots:
