Van- Profile Art - Gallery - Armor: Dann of Wednesday Biography: Van is the protaganist of Gun x Sword. He is a tall and lanky man who always wears a swallow tail tuxedo and a cowboy hat. He is normally lazy and apathetic, but becomes enraged whenver the subject of the Claw man comes up. Van is searching for the Claw Man beacause he killed Helena, his fiancee, on the day of their wedding. Van is a skilled fighter who is swift in battle. His weapon is a shapeshifting sword which is wrapped around his waist like a belt when not in use with the hilt holstered like a pistol. His Armor, Dann of Wednesday, is one of Original Seven Armors, the most powerful Armors on Endless Illusion. Van summons Dann from its satellite base in orbit by activating his sword and drawing a 'V' in the air. Van's wounds can be healed while he resides in Dann. But has a symbiotic relationship with the Armor and he could die if he does not unite with Dann for several days. 
Wendy Garret- Profile Art - Gallery - Biography: Wendy is an adolescent girl who leaves her town of Evergreen to travel with Van in search of his brother, Michael Garret, who was kidnapped by the Claw Man. Wendy is a bit naive of the world but is determined in her actions. She initially offered herself to be Van's bride in episode 1 in order to convince him to save her town, but has since genuinely fallen in love with him. Wendy often hides her true feelings, but becomes jealous when other women approach Van. Wendy wears a pink tortoise, Kameo, around her neck as a good lucky charm. She also carries a revolver with a single bullet loaded in the chamber. Both of these objects were given to Wendy by her brother. 
Carmen 99- Profile Art - Gallery - Biography: Carmen 99's real name is Carmen Mendosa and she first appears in episode 2. The '99' signifies both her 99cm bust size and the supposedly 99 secret gadgets she carries on her at all times. Carmen works as an information agent and had worked with Van in the past. Carmen is cunning, resourceful, and loves money. Her primary weapon is a customized yo-yo with retractable blades. Carmen's job requires high mobility and this is provided by her hover car, which can also drive on land. Carmen's archrival in the Gun x Sword anime is Fasalina, who exploited her best friend in her hometown.
