History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi  anime synopsis / summary

Kenichi is a martial arts fighting anime about a weak high school kid named Kenichi Shirahama who joins the karate club because he wants to be rid of his nickname “weak legs” Kenichi. But the poor kid gets no respect and is used by the other karate memebers as a human sandbag. One of the other members really doesn’t like Kenichi and challenges him to fight him in one week. Kenichi only knows how to do things through reading book manuals and realizes he is doomed. That is until he meets Miu Furinji, a high school girl and classmate, who took out three gang members on the street by herself. Miu befriends Kenichi and suggests she goes to a special dojo in order to become a strong martial artist in just one week. When he gets to the dojo, Kenichi realizes he is over his head. His training will literally put his life on the line.

History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi is adapted from a manga. It’s a pretty good anime particularly if you like training or fight anime titles. Tenhjou Tenge comes to mind, but Kenichi is more comedy orientated. It has a good bit of fanservice and we’ll likely see a lot from the lavascious Miu in her leotard. There’s also a pretty hot female ninja too. The animation is crisp and the voice acting fits the atmosphere of the anime. Disciple Kenichi will follow the progress of the hero in becoming a martial arts master along with a side serving of comedy and ample fanservice.
