Burst Angel Infinity anime synopsis / summary:

  The Bakuretsu Tenshi Infinity OAV tells the adventures of Jo and Meg in New York years before the events of the first anime TV series.  Before teaming up with Jo, Meg was an orphan who was raised with other adopted children by a police officer named Sam.  Meg was especially close with one of the younger girls named Shirley, who was like a little sister to her.  When Meg goes to visit Shirley on her birthday, she finds out she had been seriously wounded by a remote controlled cyborg and that the madman who was controlling it is going around killing people in the slums so he can get their deaths on film.  Meg and Jo are determined to hunt down the murderer, but in their first encounter, Meg is nearly killed by the madman. The madman escapes but makes Meg his next target.
