Anime Summary / Synopsis:

The word Baccano is Italian and can mean noise or commotion.  It is a fitting name for this series because so many things are happening at the same time that it can be difficult to follow. Baccano has a large cast of characters, but all are connected in some way to the supernatural events of the story.  Or rather stories. Each episode often begins with a smorgasbord of different plotlines that seem unrelated but eventually intermingle into a single plot at the end.  The general time frame of Baccano takes place around the early 1900s post-industrial America.  But along with the mafia goons and tommy guns is mixed in a group of people who are seemingly immortal.  Their history dates back even further to the 1700s where an alchemist summoned a demon to gain immortality.  But that’s another story; you’re probably confused already.
